How can Flexar be cheaper than the platforms it replaces?
Because we think it's fair. Flexar doesn't profit from your payment processing. Most gym software platforms do, quietly adding 1–3% to every member payment. Your members' payments are the result of your hard work, and you should be the one reaping the rewards. We charge a transparent monthly subscription, and that's the whole business model. We're the tool. The growth is yours.
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. The monthly subscription is the only thing Flexar charges. We don't take a cut of your transactions, we don't charge per-member fees, we don't have setup costs, and there's no onboarding fee. The card processor (Stripe, 1.7% + 30¢ AU) and bank debit provider (GoCardless, 1% + 40¢ capped at $4 AU) charge their published rates directly. Flexar adds nothing on top.
What payment methods can my members use?+
Bank debit via GoCardless. 1% + 40¢ per transaction, capped at $4, the cheapest way to collect a membership in Australia. Credit and debit card via Stripe. 1.7% + 30¢ AU per transaction. Members choose at signup. Both are direct relationships between you and the processor. Flexar adds zero markup to either and never charges its own dishonour fee on failed payments.
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?+
No. 30-day free trial, no card on file. Cancel before day 30 and you pay nothing. Stay and we'll ask for billing details when the trial ends.
What's the difference between Standard and Custom?+
Standard. Self-serve setup, your members find your gym inside the Flexar app. $299/mo flat, with your gym's brand colours and logo inside the app. Custom. You get your own white-label app in the App Store and Play Store with your branding, icon, and splash screen. $399/mo. Requires a 20-min call to scope the build, which we publish through the stores within two to three weeks.
What happens when the launch pricing ends?+
You keep your launch price for as long as you're an active customer. The 50% off is grandfathered for the founding cohort. New gyms joining after the launch period pay regular pricing ($498/mo Standard, $698/mo Custom). If you cancel and re-join later, regular pricing applies.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Month-to-month with no lock-in. If you've prepaid annually, we refund the unused months. No penalties, no exit fees, no "minimum term." You can also export every byte of your data on the way out.
Do you offer multi-location pricing?+
Yes. Both Standard and Custom support unlimited locations under a single subscription, with consolidated reporting and per-location performance views. Talk to us if you're running more than three locations and we'll get the right setup for you on the 20-min call.
Can I migrate from Hapana, Mindbody, or GymMaster?+
Yes. We migrate members, memberships, payment tokens (where the previous provider allows it), and attendance history. Your members never re-enter their card details. We handle the whole import with you on a 30-min call.
